Fire Sprinkler Protection Challenges for Architectural Features

Fire Sprinkler Protection Challenges for Architectural Features

Speakers:

Description

The current building trends are outpacing the guidance of the NFPA 13 standard and listings of sprinklers. This webinar addresses these challenges such as high ceilings, cloud ceilings, slatted ceilings, integrated HVAC ceiling panels, concealed spaces, etc.  The NFPA 13 standard cannot be expected to address all, so there are some methods, approaches, and resources that can be deployed to keep the project on track.
All participants are strongly encouraged to copy of the applicable NFPA standard with you during the webinar. The speaker will reference numerous NFPA figures and tables. It is critical to have the standard with you to refer to as the instructor leads.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the basis of criteria that NFPA 13 is based on for the architectural features with respect to sprinkler response and spray distribution.
  2. Identify how to design sprinkler systems for architectural features that are covered by NFPA 13.
